David qualified as a golf pro in 1988 and has been at the Four Seasons Golf Centre since 1992. He also provides a professional coaching service using advanced techniques, suitable for golfers of all ages and abilities.

With his many years of experience, both as a player and as a Head Teaching Professional, David offers expert tuition and will help you to improve your game, whatever the level of your golf. There is no need to hesitate when thinking about golfing lessons, David is a friendly, approachable teacher who can fine-tune your skills and help to improve you overall game.

A little about Jacob McCarthy

Jacob is our newest staff member having joined us recently after successfully completing his A Level studies.

It’s no exaggeration to say that golf has been Jacob’s entire life! With a current handicap of 3, he first swung a golf club aged just 3yrs, playing on the course with his father from the age of 6yrs.

Having scored his first hole in one aged only 8yrs, he joined Kedleston Golf Club in April 2013 and was awarded a first handicap of 22 on a course measuring 6727 yards.

By May 2013, he had won the Derbyshire Junior Order of merit in the nett category. By May 2015, his handicap had reduced to 10 and by August had reduced to 6 with him winning the Derbyshire Junior Order of Merit (this time in the gross category).

In the first round of the Derbyshire Boys U18 championship at Matlock Golf Club (36 hole) he scored 71 gross (leading) and although injuring my wrist hitting a tree root in the first three holes of the second round, still managed a 14th place (finishing out of a field of 50 of Derbyshire’s best junior golfers).

In 2015, he won the Spring Meeting at Ashbourne Golf Cub and came second in the year following. He has also represented his County at under 14, 16 and 18 level with his lowest handicap being only 2!

About Four Seasons Golf Centre in Osmaston

Four Seasons Golf Centre and Driving Range is a thriving golf centre in the village of Osmaston on the A52.

Set in spectacular Osmaston countryside with stunning views and wooded areas all around us, we offer a delightful 15-bay, all-weather, floodlit driving range. Incorporating short game facilities, a practice bunker, and a putting green. We use the best mats, balls, flagsticks, and tees available in the marketplace and have an attractive, well-thought-out landing area with target greens to focus your mind!

Established in 1989, Four Seasons has been operated by the proprietor David McCarthy since 1992.

David is the head professional and proprietor at Four Seasons. As well as running the driving range and supplying a wide range of golfing equipment and accessories, he also provides an exceptional teaching service using advanced techniques, to pupils of all ages and abilities, from beginners to professionals. With a long career in the golf industry, (he started playing golf in 1983 and qualified as a golf pro in 1988), his understanding of the wider issues relating to the coaching process combined with his patient approach, make him a perfect coach.

Dress Code & Information - Four Seasons Golf Centre in Osmaston

There is no strict dress code for our driving range, although shirts must be worn at all times. Normal golfing attire is recommended.

After practising, you can relax in our welcoming and comfortable reception area, enjoy a hot or cold drink and look out over our superb driving range and golf course beyond.

Once you have your confidence, you can try our superb 18-hole golf course. Prices start at just £8.00 for 9 holes on our PAR 69 parkland course.

Playing lessons are also available from £40 including club hire, trolley and balls.

cSwing – Golf Swing Analysis Software

cSwing is an advanced video swing analysis program designed to aid both beginners and professional golfers alike. It captures video from our camcorder so that we can easily analyse your swing with its powerful drawing and comparison tools. Seeing your swing alongside pro swings provides immediate visual feedback that will result in lower scores.

We can also compare your swing lesson by lesson to track the progress that is being made.

skyTrak Launch Monitor

The SkyTrak launch monitor is an incredible modern tool that allows you to track the most important statistics regarding your swing. These include swing speed, spin, loft angle, clubhead speed and much more.

Using the SkyTrak we are able to help you improve many of the fundamentals of a successful golf swing. Leaderboard Golf Trainer

Leaderboard simplifies the complexities of the golf swing and builds the solid foundation using essential techniques researched from Olympic sports, Martial Arts and Pilates.
