A little about Jacob
Jacob is our newest staff member having joined us recently after successfully completing his A Level studies.
It’s no exaggeration to say that golf has been Jacob’s entire life! With a current handicap of 3, he first swung a golf club aged just 3yrs, playing on the course with his father from the age of 6yrs.
Having scored his first hole in one aged only 8yrs, he joined Kedleston Golf Club in April 2013 and was awarded a first handicap of 22 on a course measuring 6727 yards.
By May 2013, he had won the Derbyshire Junior Order of merit in the nett category. By May 2015, his handicap had reduced to 10 and by August had reduced to 6 with him winning the Derbyshire Junior Order of Merit (this time in the gross category).
In the first round of the Derbyshire Boys U18 championship at Matlock Golf Club (36 hole) he scored 71 gross (leading) and although injuring my wrist hitting a tree root in the first three holes of the second round, still managed a 14th place (finishing out of a field of 50 of Derbyshire’s best junior golfers).
In 2015, he won the Spring Meeting at Ashbourne Golf Cub and came second in the year following. He has also represented his County at under 14, 16 and 18 level with his lowest handicap being only 2!

Despite his age, Jacob is a fantastic tutor! He is a friendly, professional, and talented young man who can teach people of all ages.
Jacob is one of three PGA professionals at Four Seasons Golf Centre, alongside Jacob, we also have David McCarthy and Kevin Taylor.
